The difference between a Just Swimming program, being owned and operated by the highest performing swimming club in Victoria, is that we don’t just teach children to swim, we teach them to swim with efficient, correct technique. By learning how to swim well, students are equipped with an increased ability to get themselves out of trouble in water, and are taught to make adequate decisions about how to swim safer and smarter. Swimming technically correct, also provides children with a broader opportunity to take interest in different hobbies and social activities as they develop and we aim to build confidence, trust, resilience and team work skills.
We also really love water and our passionate qualified teachers, aim to teach all children to develop to feel comfortable and positive when swimming. Our teachers are very experienced in teaching children with learning and behavioral needs, as well as students where English is a second language.
We choose to use the Royal Life Saving, Swim and Survive Program for our school swimming programs, to meet National standards and to assist schools with reporting. In conjunction with the Swim and Survive Program, students can attempt to complete the Victorian Water Safety Certificate, as well as develop a range of other water safety and survival skills.
At the completion of each program, all students receive a certificate outlining their achievements, whilst also providing parents with a benchmark of their child’s skills.
We also track each students swimming record year to year, which allows reduced time spent assessing and grading students on the first day, maximizing learning time.
