With more than 30 local schools attending our facilities for intensive swimming programs each year, we know what is required for schools to provide a fun, skills-based program to primary and secondary aged students of all swimming abilities.

Our School Swimming Programs align to the Department of Education guidelines for providing school swimming and our expertise in developing programs to meet the individual needs of each school provides a hassle-free experience for teachers and program planners at each school.

Our goal is to ensure the overall experience is easy, well organised, parents feel happy about their child’s experience and children have fun, whilst learning.

Our facilities provide convenient access for school groups and our school swimming programs can be tailored to meet your requirements :

  • Allocated change facility space for each group
  • Fixed price per lesson, based on teacher: student ratios
  • Facilities cater for small, medium and large schools
  • Royal Life Saving, Swim and Survive Program and Victorian Water Safety Certificate
  • Varied pool depth and length of lane availability for each age group
  • Transport can be arranged for schools with excellent rates, and service
  • Choice of program duration
  • We cater for every level of swimming including squad level students
  • Separate entry for school groups, to assist with class control and supervision for teachers

The difference between a Just Swimming program, being owned and operated by the highest performing swimming club in Victoria, is that we don’t just teach children to swim, we teach them to swim with efficient, correct technique.  By learning how to swim well, students are equipped with an increased ability to get themselves out of trouble in water, and are taught to make adequate decisions about how to swim safer and smarter. Swimming technically correct, also provides children with a broader opportunity to take interest in different hobbies and social activities as they develop and we aim to build confidence, trust, resilience and team work skills.

We also really love water and our passionate qualified teachers, aim to teach all children to develop to feel comfortable and positive when swimming.  Our teachers are very experienced in teaching children with learning and behavioral needs, as well as students where English is a second language.

We choose to use the Royal Life Saving, Swim and Survive Program for our school swimming programs, to meet National standards and to assist schools with reporting.  In conjunction with the Swim and Survive Program, students can attempt to complete the Victorian Water Safety Certificate, as well as develop a range of other water safety and survival skills.

At the completion of each program, all students receive a certificate outlining their achievements, whilst also providing parents with a benchmark of their child’s skills.

We also track each students swimming record year to year, which allows reduced time spent assessing and grading students on the first day, maximizing learning time.

Other Services ideal for schools :

  • In classroom water safety talks

  • Senior School Extension Programs (Grade 5/6 or Secondary)
